South Asia Regional Initiative for Energy Integration (SARI/EI) Knowledge Webinar on “Energy Storage in South Asia: Regulatory, Technical, and Economic Considerations”, presented by experts from The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

SARI/EI collaborated with The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), wherein their experts shared their study on “Energy Storage in South Asia: Regulatory, Technical, and Economic Considerations”.

Speakers from NREL shared the philosophy underlying the study, the modelling methods used in determining the potential benefits of energy storage for the region, the state-of-the-art methods used to determine how much and where storage might be built given various potential areas, and what regulatory considerations will be necessary for storage success.

Through this Knowledge Webinar, SARI/EI brought together 190 + energy sector experts and enthusiasts in the area, on a virtual platform, to understand the various factors for energy storage in the South Asia region.
