Rajesh Kumar Mediratta has over 25 years’ experience in apex organizations of the India’s power sector.

He has worked with IEX since inception and played key role developing power markets in the country. Earlier, he has worked with Central Electricity Authority, the apex planning organization, as Assistant Director and with WRLDC, POWERGRID (a Regional System Operator). Many first to his credit as key resource: Implementing ABT in the region (WR), Implementing intra-State ABT in Gujarat and first power exchange in the country.

He has worked in power system operations, commercial mechanism, power system protection and all aspects of exchange business. He has to his credit several papers on open access, power markets, renewable markets, commercial mechanism, power system operation and settlement systems presented at international and national conferences.

Mr. Mediratta holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA (Finance).
